Silica T-68B FCC

Tixosil T68B FCC is amorphous precipitated silica. Silicas have a wide range of applications.

The T68B silica we sell is ideal for improving and aiding the flow ability of powders.  Good flow ability is very important for handling powders, improving handling throughout the manufacturing process. Silicas prevent clumping, bridging, inaccurate packaging weights, and increase flow through rates.

Dry powders and small particle materials such as animal nutrition / feeds, fertilizers, laundry detergents, pigments, herbicides, pesticides, grouts, fillers, etc. all benefit from proper flow characteristics.

As a bonus packaged materials will maintain their flow ability longer with silica flow agents.

You may be aware of silicas with various trade names. Some more common names are NewSil, Rubbersil, Hi-Sil, Tixosil, Zeosil, Sipernat,  Acematt, Aerosil, Cab-O-Sil, Neosyl, Reolosil,  Snowtex, and Ultrasil. There are over 500 various trade names out there.

A general note about silicas-

-Silica gels are the small common packets of silica used to keep things dry.  This material is a ‘cousin’ of the precipitated silicas.

-Silicas may be amorphous or crystalline, a very important distinction. Amorphous silicas are generally recognized as safe. Crystalline silica forms cause silicoses, a respiratory disease. The two are very different.
